The following are some other store suggestions we have thought of for our registry (Updated Dec/1/03). For the most part we have lotza stuff, and the fact people are coming to our wedding makes us more than happy so we don’t require a gift!

For those of you who love shopping, and for those of you who *really* feel it necessary to help us start our life together with some goodies, we have some suggestions. We have identified the following “cool stores” in addition to the Registry Links page.

• “Zone” (on Sussex in Ottawa) – just about everything there is modern and hip. If you need martini glasses or a real funky designer type wall clock or contempory, modern style floor lamp or picture frame they will have it.
• “Home Company Store” (Place d’Orleans Shopping Centre) – loads of contemporary, elegant, yet functional home type of things. Basically ANYTHING in this store is great. In fact, this is by far one of the coolest stores for modern home entertainment & furnishing!
• “Pier 1” – nice contemporary stuff from entertainment to dining. Not to sure about the whole seasonal funny glass colour stuff, or brand new but it will the go on sale in 2 weeks ‘cuz nobody wants it type of stuff, but from candles to iron to wicker to pillows all is good at Pier 1.
• “PhilipVanLewen ” (located in the market) – loads of modern, funky, elegant, kewl, yet functional home type furniture things (we are thinking of getting a bedroom set here – we will let people know through my father/mother – for now, you can <visit the link> and get an idea)
• “Caban ” (located in Toronto/Montreal/Calgary) – ok… this is a upscale Ikea type store from the Club Monaco chain. When we were in Calgary in the summer we were told to visit this place! yup, instant appreciation for their stuff. Kinda like the Home Company Store mentioned above, but more modern. In fact, we believe there should be one of these stores in every mall on every corner (and there will be one day!). They say it is a retail store where you will find everything for your home… we agree. (visit the link) – gift certificated to this store would be cool!
• “Linen Chest” – linens, towels, etc. you know… we like ‘sets’ of things. Nothing like completion and change. We like earthtones and brushed meta if that means anything….
